I recently moved to Prague and drove my UK registered Rover Mini Cooper Sports (2001) here.

I understand I need winter tyres from November. As my mini has 13 inch wheels (which you cannot get winter tyres for), I need to get steel wheels as well as the tyres. Can anyone suggest where I can get 145/70 R12 - Winter Tyres from, together with steel wheels?

Also, can I keep my mini here with UK plates for an extended time? What happens when I need to get a new STK (my UK version runs out in February).

As my mini has a modified engine, are there Czech insurers that will insure a modified UK car here?
